At CLSE, we believe in Social Responsibility: corporate and individual. During the COVID-19 pandemic, a portion of our resources have been reallocated to serving businesses and individuals as they face the challenges of adhering to measures such as "shelter in place" and principles such as "social distancing" while minimizing financial impact. Selected services will be offered free of charge for a limited number of clients, including
- Remote training sessions for businesses and individuals
- Remote support for students
- Custom reports and summaries - technical audience
- Summaries for a general audience of selected modeling and other research literature relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- List of local resources (Sunnyvale, CA and nearby locations) including sellers of cloth masks
Note: for the most reliable information about the pandemic and the response by authorities, please visit the websites for Center for Disease Control, World Health Organization, or Santa Clara County Public Health Department.
Remote training sessions for businesses and individuals.
Topics include use of videoconferencing and related tools. Individuals may find these sessions useful in developing fundamental proficiency in the use of these tools for staying in touch with family, friends, or coworkers. Business training will often require coordination and generation of custom content designed to fit the needs of each company and/or department within the organization.
Remote support for students
Tutoring and coaching offered by phone or videoconferencing. Depending on student's age, parents are expected to participate in initial sessions. Primary areas of expertise include Physics and Math. Some support with Chemistry and Language (English, Spanish, Portuguese) is available. Visit my LinkedIn profile (Links menu) or contact me for further information on my qualifications and experience with both classroom teaching and one-on-one tutoring.
Customized summaries and reports
CLSE draws on extensive experience in R&D, and is prepared to survey selected topics and generate summaries or reports for clients. Occasionally specific information will be collected and shared as a service to the community. An example of the former is the list of Local Resources - a growing collection of locally valuable information, primarily for the South Bay area (Silicon Valley) in Northern California.
Science and Technology for a general audience
CLSE is available to generate content for businesses when highly technical content must be rendered in a manner accessible to a wide spectrum of readers. Currently, summaries are being generated of selected modeling and other research literature relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic.
